Birch syrup "RedFoxJuice"

2 posts in this topic

Hi

Funny how one bad incident can lead to a positive result. :D

I was of on a fishing trip 14 days ago, when I recived a text message from my wife, that a redfox chikenpen atack  had woken her up at 0500 in the morning.

By the time I came home on Sunday all 5 chikens where lost to the fox

I saw the fox on the following Thuseday, so I decided to put out a bait and try to shoot it (season ends 15.April)

After rigging the bait/light, I found one 2 inch branch on a birch, to be in the way of "the clear sight line" , so I decided to cut it off.

An amazing amount of sap was just squartig out of the cut, so I got a bucket and a ziptie and started collecting it adhoch.

The bucket(10litre) was full over night  :jig:

Next step collect & boil or more "simmer"
