Here's a puzzle for those of you who have experience with bell siphons. I have 4 bell siphons in our aquaponics system that had worked flawlessly for more that 2.5 years. Now one of the siphons has stopped working as it should. It will drain when the water is flowing fast enough, but then it will not break the siphon when the draining is complete. When the water flow is slowed enough to allow the siphon to break, it is not flowing fast enough to trigger the siphon to drain. There is no happy spot in between. I have drilled holes a little higher on the bell, to no avail. I have shortened the stand pipe and blown out the drain piping in both directions. I am stumped. You can get a look at what I have built if you Google Howponics. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I have posted this same verbiage on the True Aquaponics FB page. It will be interesting to see if it gets deleted by that page's administrator because of my reference to Googling Howponics. Seems they are the only ones allowed to promote their goods.

I have been into aquaponics in my backyard for over two years now and I am still learning. Now I am planning on getting an aquaculture venture going using above ground pools. I have already found that it is a different game and I accept the challenge. You can see my setup on YouTube by searching for HOWponics. Glad I found my way to the Aquaponics Nation.
